Vegetables Nutrition – The Vague Concepts of Food, Nutrition and Health

In these modern times in which we live in, it is very common to confuse reality with thought, facts with theory, and health with confirmation. Here we are, in the era of abundance, having everything we can ever imagine at the grasp of our finger tips, computer science has sky-rocketed allowing us access to endless amounts of information, any where tretinoin gel, any time. Biology, chemistry, and many new scientific concepts that have grown primarily out of these two, have brought us to a state of being where almost any problem could be dissected and probed to the smallest particles ever known to mankind. Yet we hurt…
All this science is actually the physical projection of the mind, beautiful ideas that manifest in the physical form out of the creation of human hands. The mind is getting the front sit and the main character in this play we call our lives, yet our bodies are becoming more and more vulnerable, with new unknown risks that has been introduced to us and have become the norm in modern living, such as cellular radiation, air pollution, and of course, my personal favorite – “food”.
I mark “food” with the quote unquote to signify my feeling of the subject, that are not to be mistaken. Most of what we find in grocery stores today is simply not food. Today’s norm is to pick up a snack, or drive through some burger joint to stuff our bellies so we can get on with work, and so slowly but surely, from the dawn of the industrial age, these products have come to replace what mother earth has given us, and what life itself is based on, as food.
Real food, which is basically fruits and vegetables, nutrition wise at least (as many would argue on the taste factor), is the foundation of any healthy diet, not because it is so important and healthy to eat a well balanced diet with vegetables in it, but simply because it is food. The rest is not food. It may be hard to grasp at the beginning, peeping through the little crack that all of us have in our definitions of what food is, and seeing the truth behind the screen of illusion.
Health, true health, cannot be achieved and maintained in any other way. But what is health? I dare you! Try and define it for yourselves. Go ahead, take a minute, even 5, and really try and write down a definition you would feel at ease with for the vague and illusive concept of health.
The Chinese have said that “health is a state of being in the tao”. Walking line chrome มือถือ , realizing yourself and allowing your true colors to show. It begins with the air we breath, the thoughts we think, and it leans mainly and strongly on the building materials we feed ourselves with. Regularly eating a well balanced vegetables nutrition based diet is like putting the foundations so needed for mental balance, a good physical feeling, happiness and well being – the foundations so needed for…. Health. “Let us be about setting high standards for life, love, creativity, and wisdom. If our expectations in these areas are low, we are not likely to experience wellness. Setting high standards makes every day and every decade worth looking forward to. ” – Greg Anderson, American athlete
Wellness and health play a huge and important part in my life, my actions, my thoughts, and my schedule. I am presently leading twelve fitness classes a week that vary from step aerobics, balance and core work on the large stability ball, weight lifting, modified yoga and several classes that focus on functionality. The participants are all ages and the common denominator is to have “fun” while working out. When i started searching for “wellness” quotations, I found excellent ones, but few. Then when I searched for “health” I was completely blown away by the number. I could write a hundred blogs filled with “health” quotations. So i picked some for you and for me which follow:
When it comes to staying healthy and aging well, there are so many things we need to consider. We have to exercise, maintain a good mental attitude, get enough sleep, engage in healthy relationships, take care of our skin and, of course, near the top of the list of factors that contribute to great health is good nutrition.
What “good nutrition” is, however, can be confusing. Ideas about nutrition have changed over the years. Two decades ago, we were told it was healthy to eat a “low-fat” diet. Unfortunately, in an effort to reduce unhealthy fats, people began eating low-fat processed foods. We didn’t realize then that many of those low-fat foods were laden with extra sugar. Nor did we understand the dangers of excess sugar. We know now that something we thought was good for us has contributed to health problems.
Over the past couple years, I’ve been reading the latest books and articles on nutrition and anti-aging. What’s touted consistently now is a diet of whole, unprocessed foods that discourage inflammation. The anti-inflammatory diet is what seems to have the most health and beauty benefits.
